Showing love to the fans! Matrix star Keanu Reeves, 52, shows off patchy beard at Australian MotoGP… as actor happily stops to take photos with fans

He recently revealed that he’s not a fan of social media.

But Canadian actor Keanu Reeves, 52, kindly posed for a selfie with a fan while attending the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in Melbourne on Saturday.

Sporting a patchy beard and a cap, the Matrix star tried his best to keep a low profile at the crowded sporting event, however, fans spotted him from a mile away.

One fan eagerly embraced the Hollywood actor, who had his VIP lanyard in tow, as he stopped to pose for a quick photo.

Star struck, the fan extended her arm to take the picture on her smartphone and beamed as she posed next to a casually dressed Keanu.

The seasoned hunk wore a black blazer over a T-Shirt and dark coloured pants as he made his way over to a man with a motorcycle helmet.

His messy raven locks poked out from beneath his red and black cap and he chose to keep his facial hair unshaven for the event.

The fan photo comes days after the veteran actor told Entertainment Tonight that he refuses to embrace to use social media due to ‘privacy’ concerns.

‘[Privacy] is important to me,’ said the star, who is currently promoting his latest film The Whole Truth.

‘And yeah, I don’t really have anything to say about anything!’

Keanu took time out of promotional duties to enjoy Saturday’s event, which was held on Phillip Island, off the coast of Melbourne.

He told Australian Motorcycle New that since 2011, he has been the co-proprietor of his own motorcycle manufacturing company, Arch Motorcycle.

The racing enthusiast admitted that he has suffered his fair share of injuries, including a ruptured spleen, some broken teeth, and both arm and leg fractures riding bikes.

And in 1990 he rode his motorcycle across the USA from Canada to Florida to hand deliver a script to the late River Phoenix.

Keanu is best known for his acting career, which began in 1985 and spans more than three decades.

He gained fame for his starring role in blockbuster film’s part of the Bill and Ted franchise from 1989 to 1991 and later The Matrix trilogy from 1999 to 2003.
